Independent software development company, EveryMatrix, has decided to abandon the UK white label market in the wake of the UK Gambling Commission suspension of the firm’s B2C license in the jurisdiction.

Taken “at company level,” the decision to relinquish operating licenses for remote betting and casino comes after “many years of successful and unproblematic B2C operations in the UK.”

EveryMatrix to leave UK white label market

According to the official press release from the Malta-headquartered company…

…it [EveryMatrix] emphasizes that despite working to swiftly demonstrate the ability to operate in a compliant, responsible and safe manner, it has been “forced” to consider the white label business “to be irreparably damaged.”

Exceptions to shut-down:

However, the firm’s UK B2B software provision license for remote gambling software is still active, and the company will also continue to offer gambling software to UK-licensed operators.

Commenting on the decision, Chief Executive Officer for EveryMatrix, Ebbe Groes, said…

“We fully respect UKGC’s decision of suspending our license and we acknowledge their wish for a substantially changed way of operating white label businesses in the future.

Impact on players:

“We regret the impact this suspension has had on our loyal players, on our brands, and on our long-standing white label partners in UK, but this business has by now become unsalvageable.

“We will use this highly unfortunate event as positive as we can and we are keen on maintaining EveryMatrix’s leading role as a provider in the B2B space, in the UK and globally. This is where our company has enjoyed tremendous growth in the past several years and we will now focus even harder on this.”

Best effort:

As part of its continued effort to significantly improve its compliance processes and procedures in the UK, and to hopefully have the Gambling Commission-imposed suspension lifted, earlier this month EveryMatrix partnered with compliance start-up beBettor.

Groes said in the September 12 news release that they believe the collaboration would help players on their brands as well as aid in an “industry-wide push for better affordability checks for the UK players.”

Operating white label businesses since 2014, EveryMatrix said that it is wholly committed and is intent on focusing on maximizing business growth, in addition to continuing to be “a trusted and proven software supplier operating globally in regulated jurisdictions.”

CasinoEngine deal:

More recently, the company’s casino integration platform, CasinoEngine, signed a content supply deal with global entertainment technology solution provider Skywind Group. The agreement makes the Isle of Man-based provider’s expansive game portfolio accessible to the platform’s network of top operators across various regulated markets.EveryMatrix dumps
